Performed single system heating maintenance. Replaced 16 x 20 x 1 filter located in the air handler up in the attic. Inspected electrical connections and components indoor and outdoor. Treated condensate drain line and used vacuum to make sure it is clear and flowing. Outdoor units contactor, capacitor, and defrostboard are good. As well as refrigerant level. Overall, the system is operating properly.
Installed t4 thermostat. Old thermostat was not sending signal for furnace to run. Showed homeowners how to operate new thermostat. Also left the box with instructions.
Performed single system heat maintenance replaced 16x25x1 filter tested all electrical components and thermostat functions all systems operating properly at this time
Install new trane OEM furnace control board. Tested furnace operations and heating after installation of new board and furnace is now heating properly.
I diagnosed bad defrost control board. The board would not properly run defrost mode. Customer approved repairs and I installed a Honeywell universal defrost control board. I replaced the coil temperature sensor. I tested the function of the new control board. The new board is corrrectly controlling the unit and I confirmed proper defrost cycle. The new control board comes with a one year warranty. I gave customer their 15% discount for today’s repairs.
Warranty- I found the new inducer motor had failed. The motor locks up when powered but spins free and had no blockages. I pulled the inducer motor off to check. I was able to find one at the Lennox supply house. I went and picked up the warranty inducer and processed the warranty while at Lennox. I arrived back at the customers and installed the warranty replacement inducer draft motor. I tested the system, system is currently heating correctly and inducer motor is running nice and smooth. System is currently heating the house.
Connecting all the gas fittings, connecting a fluepipe and starting the heat up. Upstairs system is now heating. Downstairs furnace has bad control board. Now only function that operates is the blower nonstop when the power is turned onto the furnace.. at a minimum the furnace control board needs to be replaced.
Performed maintenance on single heat pump system. Replaced 16 x 20 x 1 filter. During maintenance found that the system outdoor unit was completely frozen, outdoor unit is not defrosting. Estimate for replacement of defrost control, board and sensor will be provided along with other options.
Arrived and discussed issue with customer. Customer stated the system felt like it was not keeping up last night correctly. I checked over the system and checked thermostat temps calibration. The thermostat is reading the correct temperature.the unit kept and maintained 76 degrees while on site today. The system cycled on and off correctly. I did. Find and replaced two dirty 20x20x1 filters. I also checked temperature rise across the unit. This system is a dual stage furnace wired up single stage. The furnace board will engage 2nd stage after the run time has reached. While in single stage it is blowing out cooler air and slower speed. This helps with efficiency of the unit but this was the only other thing noted. System is currently heating correctly at this time. I did let customer know this call has a 30 day warranty since there was not an issue with the unit satisfying the thermostat today.
Lennox inducer draft motor replacement. Unit is out of parts warranty. Replaced inducer motor and tested system. System is currently heating correctly.
Diagnosed bad inducer draft motor. Housing and motor will need to be replaced due to debris jamming the motor. Debris would not break loose from inside the draft housing. Customer approved estimate for repairs and the part heads been ordered. Our office will follow up to schedule when part is received.
Upstairs 2018 Rheem heat pump not working because of a shorted duel capacitor. Customer approved the GOOD option with only changing the duel 70/10 capacitor, which is still under manufacture warranty so labor was only charged. System is now working properly. 2-14x20x1, pics uploaded
Unit has been stripped by scrappers for copper coil. Unit is also older R22 refrigerant system. Estimate’s will be provided.
Rooftop package units are all older trane R22 refrigerant systems. Units have been damaged/stripped by scrappers of copper condensing coils. Estimates for replacements will be provided.
