Water softener diagnostic. Arrive and find that the existing water softener is leaking from the valve set on top of the tank. The homeowner complains that the sink is girgiling from the Drain for the evaporative coil and the water softener. I find that the sump pump no longer has lift capabilities and is just stirring the water in the bucket it sits in around. I show the homeowner how to remove the water softener and how to add a ball valve into the water loop. Suggest to remove water softener and add ball valve for emergency water shut off for home. By connecting the two pipes the water softener will be able to be entirely removed. For sump pump removal: tie in the primary and secondary drains from the evaporative coil into the Condensate pump then from the pump plumb to the drain line. Do not forget to add a Check valve into the drain line. The gurgling will stop when the new condensate pump is plumbed in correctly with a functioning check valve. Recommend to get condensate pum
