AC REpair. Performed a cooling diagnostic on a 2010 trane condenser and 2011 Trane furnace. My gauges indicated that the system was low on refrigerant and the customer informed me that 3 other AC companies informed her of the same thing. But the other companies “couldn’t find the leak.” I found a leak in the evaporator coil. The coil was unopened before, and I know this because the old mastic seal was still intact on the coil door. Customer wants an estimate for replacing the evaporator coil on that unit and also wants to have a comfort specialist come out for pricing of replacing the system.
