Arrived and inspected the condenser to determine if there was an issue when the boards were replaced. Could not determine why the unit was not operating when there was signal for heat and high voltage. Replaced the boards again per York and had the same results. Tested the fan motor and compressor to determine if either were shorted to ground, neither were. Closed the service valves, recovered the remaining refrigerant in the line set, and replaced the condenser. Weighed in the additional refrigerant of 12 ounces and operated the system in heating and cooling, the condenser ran with no issues.

Arrived to find the thermostat was set to off. Set the t-stat to heat and raised the temperature to get the system to turn on. The air handler started yet the condenser did not. Inspected the condenser, found the Kool Guard was lit. Tested the high voltage to the condenser, had 243.2V and low voltage 26.5V common to yellow. Attempted to see if a fault code was present, the display was unresponsive. Removed the casing to the condenser to access the control board and found the in-line fuse was blown and it is a soldered-in fuse. Will need to order the board from York in the morning.

AH Cleaned and treated drain line Looked over low and high volt components Got temp split and static pressure readings Checked heat Replaced filter Replaced pan treatment Replaced Uv ballist at cost of bulb CONDENSER Checked pressures Looked over low and high volt components Rinsed coil RECOMMENDATIONS Assurance plus renewal Replacement filter SURGE PROTECTORS PROTECT SYSTEMS FROM SIGNIFICANT POWER FLUCTUATIONS The freeze Protection Lockout Switch, MODEL CPLS, is a temperature sensing control, used to act as a safety against Evaporator Coil freeze up. It is designed to mount on the surface of a 3/4" or 7/8” suction line. Electrically, it is wired in series with the "Y" lead from the thermostat or zone control panel, to the compressor contactor coil or relay. The switch breaks (opens) shutting off the compressor when the temperature of the pipe drops below 37 F. The switch will reset (close), restarting the compressor when the temperature of the pipe rises above 47 F. EWC

Arrived to do a maintenance on a carrier system vertical in closet. I cleaned and flushed the drain line. Checked the electrical system. Washed the washable filters, 2-12x20x1 washable. I cleaned the coils with cleaner. Cleaned the drain line with cleaner and water. It is time for the renewal of the maintenance plan. I replaced the pan treatment. The uv lights will need to be replaced on the next maintenance. They have to be replaced yearly to be most effective. The system is working good at this time. Upon arrival found the system operational and working properly. Checked drain line and its seems to drain correctly. I got up in the attic checked the ductwork and not in good shape. The insulation coming off the metal duct caused it to sweat and causing water marks on the ceiling.

Assurance 1 of 2 Fridgeaire heat pump package unit. 5 kw electric heat All motor amps meet manufacturer specifications refrigerant level meet manufacturer specifications talked to customer and he was not interested in doing a small drain pan treatment or his yearly uv light bulb on this visit also spoke with customer about replacing start assembly due to wear and age and rust on capacitor Duct work is over 10 years old and stat pressure .61 temperature differential 18 degree differential Please do a google review today Thanks so much for your business and being the best part of AirNow Jesse Piper

Cleaned and flushed the drain line. Checked the amp draw on the: blower 3.12 max 6; heat strip 0; condenser fan 1.15 max 1.3; compressor 9.88 max 21.8; static pressures .34 supply and .2 supply; temperature split 67.2/51.6. Cleaned and washed the filter. Rinsed out the condensing coil. The evaporator coil is rusting and will eventually cause it to leak. The ductwork is original to the home and is a mixture of grey duct and ductboard trunk lines. The insulation in the attic is the old cellulose and has compressed well below the efficacy. Recommend having a senior tech come out to give an estimate on replacing the system, ductwork, and having insulation blown in.
