MOD Leslie H//arrived, checked in with site staff. Inspected site equipment consisting of one VAV controlled by thermostat. VAV operates but the mall supplies the cool air, and currently the mall AC is not functioning. Cannot address the issue. VAV operational at the end of service.
Arrived on site and checked in with third party and manager on duty. Went into the back inventory area to check supply temperature, found that the unit that controls the vav was not operating. Went to security for roof access and proceeded to the unit that controls the VAV. Unit was in “stop” mode. Put unit to Auto and the system came online. Went back to the store and felt air from the unit but not downstream of the vav. Upon closer inspection of vav damper motor, found the shaft was binding up and not allowing the damper to open. Removed motor from shaft and reassembled. The damper is now open and cooling the back office and fitting room. Checked out with MOD, security and third party. Close-out: 1349934 Jennifer D
MOD Jamie C//arrived, checked vav and found it closed, functioning properly. System does not have any way to provide heat or move warm air. Submitting referral for fan powered vav with heat strips. No action could be taken to warm the space.
Call back, arrived on site checked in with third-party and MOD, found that store does not have its own air conditioning system, store is supplied by A main air conditioner for the mall that supplies multiple stores through VAVs, stores VAV is working properly and allowing air to supply the store, could not get in touch with mall engineering to confirm if they are calling for 100% cooling, Believe that store should add its own air conditioner for adequate air conditioning. Worked on vav. I checked thermostat and vav. Both are currently running as designed. The issue is the mall is supplying cold air to store. Air being provided is 74.3 degrees. We are not authorized to work on their equipment. Instructed customer to contact mall. Mod: Jamie C
