I love Bassetts but the Technician I had this time gave me pause. Maybe he was new? He was here for 2 hours for a regular maintenance check and no extra services. I came outside to look for him and he was in his truck and then proceeded to tell me the cost of replacing a part that was not registering correctly and when I said no and the previous tech told me the capacitor was not giving the full range but he just wanted to let me know and I didn’t need to do anything right then… this Technician said “Oh they’re the same part” let me check his notes!!!! Should that not have already been done?? He sat in my driveway way for 29 minutes more after I had signed and left because I came out to work in my yard. Then he pulled over across the street and parked for another 20 min! I have never had a tech be here that long for a maintenance check and so glad I did not have to leave for work afterwards. Maybe it’s me, he just did not appear to be very efficient nor did he wear or offer to wear a mask even though I put one on before I let him in the door. Maybe I am expecting more due to the majority of the Technicians I have always had previously and even for repairs they were not here that amount of time?? I am not wanting to get him in any trouble and was going to let it go and then I get the survey so. Maybe my experience can be a teaching moment if indeed he is a fairly new hire.
