Diag/ system not heating properly, outdoor unit was making loud banging noise the other day (serves left side downstairs/kitchen). Found the breaker for the condenser outside was tripped and kept tripping, found the compressor is shorted, was able to disconnect compressor harness and outdoor is running without the compressor. Customer informed me a home warranty company recently the blower motor and also preformed a refrigerant repair on this system at that time, and it now has r407c in it in place of r22. Note there may be other refrigerant related issues that will not be diagnosable until there is an operable compressor in place. Due to the age (MFG 2004) and condition of the system I highly recommend replacing the existing equipment.
