Performed level 2 furnace cleaning. I found the transition assembly had a crack and was leaking. The leak caused rust in both furnace compartments. I also found the ventor and blower motor bearings were starting to wear out. The heat exchanger is rusting and gave a lot of backdraft with the smoke test. No CO detected in the air at this time. Due to age, condition, and cost to repair, second opinion is recommended. There’s a rag in the furnace to help collect the leaking water.
