Performed level 2 furnace cleaning. Unit was very dirty with rust chips when I arrived. Burners and pilot assembly are wearing out. Heat exchanger is very worn and has a lot of chipping. Inducer motor and gas valve bearings are starting to sound worn as well. Average life of system is typically 12-14 years. Unit is currently around the 20 year mark. Due to age, condition, cost to repair, and safety concerns in the future, second opinion is recommended.
