System is cooling at this time. Homeowner stated that linset was frozen up this past weekend. Checked both suction and high pressure lines. Liquid line is very hot. Hooked up gauges and found that head pressures were over 300 psig, and suction temp was 48. This is signaling a metering device issue. Compressor is worn as well. Average life of this unit is 14 years, this system is 23 years old and worn. Second opinion scheduled. System is cooling now, but future failure is expected. Job complete. No charges pending second opinion results.
