We were out to look at installing a customer provided toilet. Upon arrival we discovered a substantial amount or roots to be growing in the waste pipe. The lead toilet flange is not connected to the flange. Instead it appears someone simply poured concrete around the pipe and shoved the flange into the concrete. The roots are freely entering the pipe between the concrete and the riser pipe. An estimate for the work will be submitted in short order. Customer asked us to simply clear the line at this time. We got approval to run the toilet auger through and removed all of the roots and debris. We informed the customer that we can’t guarantee there is no more debris further down the line but we tested it and water is flowing freely at this time. There is no warranty on this work.
