Diagnostic System: American standard Refrigerant Type R22 Metering Device-TXV Outdoor Entering Air Temperature 80 Notes: Customer stated that upstairs unit is not cooling properly. On arrival checked in attic for float switches and none found in operation. Went to condenser and found it not working with call for cool. Checked capacitor and condenser fan motor and both are within factory specs. Checked voltage to system and found no voltage present, went to breaker box and found breaker was tripped. Reset breaker and condenser was operational, system ran long enough for me to check compressor amps and compressor has 12.9 amps of 22 manufacturer rated. System stayed on for a few minutes then breaker tripped again. Removed disconnect, reset breaker then removed compressor terminals from contactor, system stayed running for ten minutes, removed disconnect again reattached compressor terminals and system was operational for about 5 mins.
