Water Heater One Time Cleaning I did a cleaning of the burner assembly, chamber, fire screen and heat diverted plate. Once I got it cleaned up, put burner assembly back in, lit pilot, waited 25seconds, turned gas valve to the 120dergee setting, then waited to make sure that the high limit didn’t trip. Water heater heated up til it was satisfied and high limit didn’t trip. Should be OK now.
