I arrived to perform a diagnostic on an air conditioner. Upon arrival, customer stated ac was not cooling home. They thought it was the thermostat, so they installed a new nest. But it would not come on. Nest tstat needed a common wire hooked up. Hooked up common and reset thermostat. Nest brings ac on not but nothing cold is coming out of vents. Found ac running but fan not spinning. Capacitor for fan side is dead. Replaced. Ac comes on and fan spins properly. Delta T 18. Pressures. 127/315 subcool 9.2.

I completed scheduled maintenance tune-up and safety check on Trane Air Conditioning Unit. I found coils dirty on condenser unit. I did not have access to a water spigot to use to clean the coils. I found the valve caps on valve are missing. I found Unit to be low on refrigerant. I informed customer. Customer is going to wait and possibly get a new unit first of next year.

I performed diagnostic service call on Bryant Air Conditioning Unit. I determined that Compressor was not turning on. I found bad capacitor. I also found the disconnect to be broken. With customers approval I replaced Compressor-Motor Surge Capacitor. I cycled and monitored system. System is running/cooling home at this time.

I found the 2012 York gas furnace locked out on code 8 (ignition lockout due to too many flame recycles). I reset furnace and cycled system on. I pulled and cleaned the flame sensor. Recommended to customer to change filter. No other issues at this time.

Upon arrival found AC unit not turning on and Thermostat blank. Found 3 amp fuse blow, replaced fuse and unit worked when calling for heat. The outside unit I found a blown capacitor, replaced and still blew fuse. Will need to go back and run 24 volt wires to outdoor unit.
