I arrived to perform a diagnostic on an air conditioner. Upon arrival, customer stated ac was not cooling home. They thought it was the thermostat, so they installed a new nest. But it would not come on. Nest tstat needed a common wire hooked up. Hooked up common and reset thermostat. Nest brings ac on not but nothing cold is coming out of vents. Found ac running but fan not spinning. Capacitor for fan side is dead. Replaced. Ac comes on and fan spins properly. Delta T 18. Pressures. 127/315 subcool 9.2.
I completed scheduled maintenance tune-up and safety check on Trane Air Conditioning Unit. I found coils dirty on condenser unit. I did not have access to a water spigot to use to clean the coils. I found the valve caps on valve are missing. I found Unit to be low on refrigerant. I informed customer. Customer is going to wait and possibly get a new unit first of next year.
I performed diagnostic service call on Bryant Air Conditioning Unit. I determined that Compressor was not turning on. I found bad capacitor. I also found the disconnect to be broken. With customers approval I replaced Compressor-Motor Surge Capacitor. I cycled and monitored system. System is running/cooling home at this time.
I performed a In Warranty Part Replacement on Carrier HVAC System. I replaced Warranty OEM Drain Pan. I cycled and monitored system. Operating as intended at time of my departure.
I completed a Full Install of a Carrier 96% Variable-Speed Two-Stage Gas Furnace 59TP6 (Up to 100,000 BTU) Honeywell T6 Programmable Thermostat/Emerson 1F85U Carrier 17 SEER Two-Stage Air Conditioner 24ACB7 (Up to 3 ton) The system is operational upon departure.
I performed a tune up on a Carrier gas furnace. Everything checked out within specs. System is operational upon departure.
During a tune up on a Carrier 80% 45,000 BTU Gas furnace, I cleaned the flame sensor and checked all electrical, combustion and pressure levels. All readings are within manufacturers specifications at this time.
I found the 2012 York gas furnace locked out on code 8 (ignition lockout due to too many flame recycles). I reset furnace and cycled system on. I pulled and cleaned the flame sensor. Recommended to customer to change filter. No other issues at this time.
I am Performing our Five Star Tune-Up & Safety Check on a 2000 Payne Gas Furnace. All readings were within manufacturer's specifications, unit operating properly at this time.
Installer sealed and screwed in plenum properly, I added tape for extra security. Plenum had 2 small holes that I patched with thumb gum.
Upon arrival found AC unit not turning on and Thermostat blank. Found 3 amp fuse blow, replaced fuse and unit worked when calling for heat. The outside unit I found a blown capacitor, replaced and still blew fuse. Will need to go back and run 24 volt wires to outdoor unit.
Whole house duct cleaning before install for Gahanna customer.
Found gas valve in off position on Armstrong furnace. Cycled system and all is operational. Due to the age of the unit, customer opted to purchase a new Carrier unit.
Blower motor failure on Rheem furnace. Unit is from 1989, the motor is no longer available. The furnace will need to be replaced.
