Residential service call in Garland and Upon arrival found downstairs system leaking and not cooling. Checked indoor unit and found ever In rough shape. Found evaporator coil leaning to the right side which is causing water to drain straight out of the secondary and into drain pan. Found evaporator coil rusted pretty bad. Found that someone put a water heater drain pan under just the front part of the coil. Found multiple Y’s on ductwork not insulated. Found one Y installed backwards. Found flue pipe detached. Found filter completely clogged up and was able to install a new one. On outdoor unit found condenser coil dirty and system about 3-4lbs low on refrigerant. With system being low and the amount of rust on evaporator coil, evaporator coil is leaking out refrigerant. With the shape that system is in and how plenums and ductwork is set up recommended starting over with a new system. Sent over estimates to fix what is here and to replace.
