Spring Air Conditioning Maintenance for a residential homeowner near Murphy Park. Upon arrival performed a one system maintenance checking cooling. Starting with air handler, checked electrical, mechanical and safety components, checked amp draw on blower and filter. Found that 2nd stage cooling wasn’t hooked up, connected Y2 at Tstat, air handler and condenser. Put system in test mode 2nd stage and checked outdoor units pressures, amp draws and capacitor. All checked out good. Recommended adding surge protectors and air scrubber to system. Homeowner wanted to just add the surge protectors. Installed a surge protection on air handler and condenser. System is operating properly at this time.
