Came out today to perform preventative for a York heat pump system model #Eabd-f036sa, serial #W0e6249123. Upon arrival the system was calling for heat. I powered the system down and removed the access panels. The blower wheel is extremely dirty and rusted. Checked all electrical connections to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. The evaporator coil’s are clean and in fair condition. Replaced the air filter size 20x20x1. There are signs that the evaporator coil’s have froze in the past. There is rust in the return duct that the air handler sits on. I re installed the access panels and powered the system back up and called for heat. I observed the system starting normally. The blower motor amp draw is 1.81 and the supply temp is 122°F. The heat pump coils are clean and in fair condition. The heat pump amp draws are 1.1 for the fan and 7.9 for the compressor.
