Customer called for no heat after having preventative maintenance end of September. Found no call for heat at the zone for the kitchen which was the target area the Customer had a complaint about. Found no continuity at the two wires for the zone at the thermostat which told me that system was losing connection somewhere within the wires. Traced wires back from thermostat to zone control as much as I had access to. Found a short in a spliced section of wires. Repaired the connection and tested the operation.
