Came out today for a no ac call. Upon inspection I found that the the temperature split was at a 2. I connected my gauges and noticed that the system was extremely low on 410-a refrigerant. My recommendation is to charge the system with roughly 6 lbs of 410-a refrigerant and add a uv dye stick. Once the system is charged the system should run for about 3 weeks then Chud can return to perform a leak investigation. Once we track where the leaks Chud can give the homeowner the proper repair quote. The other option is replacing the 10 year old system. The homeowner declined to charge the system today. He would like to think about it and get back to us.
