Performed preventative maintenance for heat pump system. Customer replaced the 2- 16x20x1 filters. Inspected all electrical components. Components are operating best they can considering the age. System had a heat rise of 26° heat pump only. System uses 6 30amp buss fuses. Wires have some charging in the heat kit but is still operational. Heat kit is a 15kw. Inspected the heat pump. Coil is clear with no major buildup of debris. Amp draw for the compressor and fan motor are on the higher end of the rated load amperage. As stated system is operational but is very inefficient and noisy. Recommend replacement due to age and parts will be hard to come by if repairs are needed. Most parts for this system have been discontinued. Air handler is 49 years old and heat pump is 21 years. Customer would like a quote for replacement. Referred estimate to RC.
