No AC call. Discovered system blowing hot air. Compressor seems to run but not pumping refrigerant properly. Evaporator coil is getting really hot signifying a failed reversing valve. System is over 15 years old and still uses R 22 refrigerant. System is in poor shape and will need to be replaced, we don’t repair failing R22 systems that are over 15 years old. Thermostat is old mercury style and is missing front cover plate and will need to be replaced as well. Job requires- Honeywell T4 (2 heat, 1 cool) heat pump thermostat, 2 ton heat pump with matching air handler and heat pack. Gravity drain for condensation. Will need yellow jack to lift heat pump onto roof.
