Cleaned & checked gas furnace. Inspected heat exchanger & flue venting. cleaned burners & flame sensor. Checked voltage & amp draw of motors. Test capacitor. Found run capacitor weak: 11%low. Replaced capacitor and tested amp draw. customer declined humidifier service. Adj Blower: H:3.4A . Inducer: 0.6A . Temperature rise: 61 . Supply: 139 . Return: 78 .
I found condenser coil extremely dirty, requiring chemical cleaning. I performed chemical cleaning of condenser coil. Back flushed coil with water saber. I rechecked Freon pressures. Indoor blower moving excess air. Recommend adjustment. Minor dents to condenser coil fins are insignificant. Causing no problem or efficiency reduction. Electronic air cleaner cells are in need of chemical cleaning. Prefilters should be installed in front of electronic air cleaner cells. Compressor: 8.3A . Condenser fan: 0.43A . ambient: 87. suction line: 55 . metering device: piston . Suction pressure: 79(47). wet bulb:66 . System is cooling OK. Work suggested: chemical cleaning of electronic air cleaner cells. Blower speed adjustment.
No ac service call—dual capacitor shorted on compressor side
Arrived checked in with customer. Checked unit operation to find compressor not running checked power, tested capacitor to find compressor cap out of range. Checked compressor to find open and hot will need to allow compressor to cool. Left unit off at disconnect. Return Sunday, May 28, 2018: Checked filter. Checked blower. replaced bad dual capacitor. Tested operation. Compressor: 9.1 A. Fan motor: .84 A. Ambient: 88. Suction: 143(50). Suction line: 75. Liquid line: 97. Blower: 3.0 A. Lennox Model XC14-036-230-03 Serial 5810H08534
