Very happy so far with install and use of new heat pump and furnace. Install happened in one day on one of the hottest days of summer. Unsure of value rating. Due to expiring rebates , I was required to sign a contract on the day of my estimate to receive rebates. I spent over 12,500$ and do not know if I got a fair deal or not. Cost of equipment was not broken down on estimate.

Clean and check electric furnace. Tested heating elements. Tested sequencers. Adj. element 2. Amps: 63. Supply: 135. Return: 80. Checked filter.
I found cast iron main burner deteriorated. Furnace is too old (about 46 years old) Replacement part would not be available. I tested draft through heat exchanger with and without fan running and found heat exchanger to be leaking! Needs new heat exchanger. Suggestions: Needs new furnace. Sean to price new furnace tomorrow.
