Today I came to Shelena’s Saddle Ridge home to perform a furnace tune up before winter. Shelena has explained that the furnace has been making a loud noise when it starts up. Furnace tune up and inspection: Upon tune up and inspection of the 21 year old system I tested and adjusted the gas valve, burners, gas pressure and temperature rise. Pulled and cleaned the flame sensor. Tested ignition system, inducing motor and assembly, blower motor and assembly, heat exchanger, humidifier, static pressures, tested and tightened all electrical connections, all safety switches and control board. The furnace is in poor condition. The inducing / exhaust motor is vastly over amperage and has advanced bearing ware indicating impending failure. The igniter, flame sensor, safety switches, and gas valve, are all working well within manufacturers specifications. The control board has an over heated resistor indicating internal damage. The blower motor is over amperage and leaking oil indicating impen
