Today I came to Terry and Noni’s Chaparral home because they are getting quotes for a new hydronic heating system. Other companies have come for a quote but Terry have not received them yet. Upon inspection of the 23 year old system i found its original design is poor and terribly inefficient. The boiler runs at 180 degrees only to be cooled down for the system loop by an injection pump to 120 degrees for the system loop. I’m told the boiler keeps blowing water of the pressure relief valve but the system works aside from the boiler. The feeder into the system uses a testable rpz backflow valve that needs to be tested yearly. The home is already equipped with a high quality water softener.
