Richard arrived on time and completed the repair efficiently. His initial recommendation to replace the toilet altogether was overkill for a simple gasket replacement and tightening. That said, the finish on this job didn’t quite have the attention to detail that I’ve come to expect from ClearView. After he left, I went upstairs to find the lid to the toilet on the bathroom floor, and the bolts used to re-attach the toilet were left too long for the caps to be fastened. The shims that he used were cut roughly, and stick out more than they need to. I had the same job performed on another toilet in the house a month or two before (by ClearView), and didn’t have any of these minor issues. Overall, mission accomplished: the toilet works great. But I got a little complacent with the work and finish I’ve had from ClearView in the past and didn’t inspect the job before he left. I won’t be doing that again.
