Today I came to Stephanie and Greg’s Chestermere home to perform the annual family plan furnace service. Clearview installed the tankless water heater, water softener, and perform a whole home furnace and duct cleaning, 2 years ago. Family plan furnace service: Upon tune up and inspection of the 9.5 year old, builder grade system, I tested and adjusted the gas valve, burners, gas pressure and temperature rise. Pulled and cleaned the flame sensor. Tested ignition system, inducing motor and assembly, blower motor and assembly, heat exchanger, humidifier, static pressures, tested and tightened all electrical connections, all safety switches and control board. The furnace is in fair condition. The inducing motor is vastly over amperage indicating impending failure. The condensate pan has a small leak that is leaking acidic condensate into the furnace causing rust. The humidifier is working well and the pad is clean.
