Today I came to Marc’s Okotoks home to perform the annual boiler / hydronic system inspection and service. Upon service I Tested and adjusted the boiler, heat exchanger, ignition and flame rectification systems, venting and gas lines. Checked all pumps, piping and controls. Check air elimination devices and expansion system. Tested glycol levels and general system operation. Flushed inline filter. The 2015 system is in good condition. The install and design are poor in that the combi boiler serves a tank rather than act as a tankless water heater however the system will work but it defeats the purpose of having a combi boiler. The inline filter should be flushed every 3 months to keep the system running optimally. A drain line should be installed from the filter to the floor drain so Marc can do so. Marc will consider the option of a drain line and will let us know should he choose to do so.
