The service provided by Comfort Control has always been very good and all of the guys have been nice that have been here, except for the ones that installed my new units in 2012 - they were not nice and installed two totally different units outside that did not match. I knew that I had paid for two of the same units, and asked them to make it right - that is when they became huffy and no longer nice. Go forward from 2012 -the present time. I have had more trouble with these units than a 25 year old unit in another house. There have been major issues with both units, meaning multiple service calls over the last 6 years. I always thought that if I kept up with the biyearly maintenance appointments, that I should not have to worry about replacing parts, more service charges for a technician to come out here, etc. That has not been the case at all. I will never buy a Lennox product again. That is what the salesperson recommended in 2012 and not being an expert on H/AC systems, I went with his recommendation. Never again. There is a $79.00 service fee each time I have a problem; yesterday's labor was around $360.00 - he was here for about an hour. I understand there is a lot of overhead in the company, but that is outrageous to me. On top of that, the new part that he had to replace the defective part (control board) was broken out of the box, so he had to find another control board in his van, and used it instead. Again - the guys are extremely nice and I know they don't have control over charging a service fee or that something in the unit is defective. My problem with Comfort Control is the quality of their products and that I have spent a lot of money on these units bought from them - and "what will go wrong next?" is always in the back of my mind. To pay this much money for two H/AC units and then to have problem after problem just does not seem right to me.
