Heat pump maintenance in Auburn, Georgia. One system. Changed filter. Tested mechanical and electrical components. Found electrical pitting present on main electrical switch along with slightly burnt wire. Found capacitor to be weak (40/5 uf). Found evaporator coil to be rusty, corroded and likely to leak. Found hard start kit to be out of manufacturers specs. Due to age and condition of system, recommend upgrading system to a more reliable and more efficient system. System is heating at this time.
