Found the system making noise from the internal release valve in the compressor. The liquid pressure is rising above 450 PSI triggering the valve. The system will still heat. The customer does have another system to switch to. Recommended upgrading the system due to age and the refrigerant being used vs repairing. The customer wants to wait. They are trying to get gas ran to the house and switch to furnaces.
