Completed heat pump maintenance in Hoschton, Georgia. Two systems in Deaton Creek. Did not change filters. Tested mechanical and electrical components. Systems are clean and operating properly. Heat strips are fully functional. Main level system would benefit from having a hard start kit installed so compressor starts smoother, runs smoother and therefore lasts longer. Basement system has a hard start kit installed already. Neither system has surge ptotection, recommend adding on to protect equipment from power surges. Installed hard start kit for main level system. Systems are heating at this time.
