Drain line line ran into vent because original drain line was clogged. This form of draining the pvc from the evaporator coil is used in many applications and sometimes necessary although against code. The current set up for draining will work and poses no water concerns. If drain line is tapped into auxiliary drain it will have to eventually be ran back into flu pipe or ran outside separately because it will drain from the soffit.
