Completed cooling maintenance on 2 systems. Checked all of the mechanical and electrical components. Replaced both filters. Found the upstairs condenser running with a very weak controller. This is putting a drain on the system when it starts and when this fails the system will not come on. Recommend replacing part and adding a start kit to the compressor for better more efficient startups. The downstairs system is running good. The controller in the condenser is still within specs of the manufacturer. Recommend adding a start kit to the system to eliminate stress and increase life of parts. Found the main electrical switch pitted and burnt. Switch should be replaced to eliminate any downtime. Both systems are cooling at this time.
