Complete 1 system furnace repair and preventative maintenance check. Left behind replacement filter. Dusted out electrical cabinets. Tested mechanical and electrical components. Found air handler in attic has no water safety to protect ceilings from water damage. Found dirty blower wheel. Found evaporator coil to be very rusty, corroded and likely to leak. System runs on r22 refrigerant which has been phased out by the epa. Electronic heat strips are functioning properly. Blower motor capacitor is weak. Found electrical pitting present on main electrical switch switch. System is 19 years old. Due to age and condition of system, recommend upgrading to something more reliable and efficient. If customer wants to keep system running as long as possible, recommend replacement of blower capacitor and main electrical switch with a blower wheel cleaning. Water safety switch is highly recommended to protect ceiling from water damage. System is heating at this time.
