Great Follow up Service

I had called in when i saw a leak from the flue tube. Daniel was through in his diagnosis and identified the issue with the exhaust pipe that was no longer in use. He sealed the pipe to stop the leak. He also inspected the attic to make sure there wasn't any other source of leaks which was going above and beyond.

Great job, they’re amazing

I’ve always been happy with their service and Cody did a great job. I tend to ask a lot of questions with new options for our A/C or furnace and he was great explaining things and helping me understand it all in common terms. We recommend Comfort Matters to everyone we know.

Great service

Bradley was very professional and thorough in inspecting the source of the water. He arrived exactly when he said he’d be here and didn’t waste time getting to work. He also did a great job of explaining what he was doing and why he was doing it. I hope I get to continue to work with him going forward.

Good diagnosis of problem.

With a 28 year old furnace and air conditioner, the bad news is I will be replacing them both -- ac was no longer working and both are quite old. I was thankful that the same technician who came out 1-1/2 weeks ago was able to return so quickly to evaluate what went wrong with the system. He laid out the options and we both agreed on the direction to go. I appreciate his knowledge and ability to quickly diagnose the problem.

HVAC system checkup, cleanup

Very kind young men who explained what they were doing (I was curious), addressed me with respect, answered all my questions, made recommendations and seemed knowledgeable in every respect.

Quick and great service

I was surprised that even though I called this morning at 730am they were able to schedule me same day, although there was an 830am cancellation. It was luck!

Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Recommended an electronic air cleaner, surge protector and a new pressure/temperature valve for water heater. Also quoted a new water heater. All recommendations were declined at this time. Will follow up with customer in a week.

Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Air distribution system is dirty reducing airflow and efficiency. This creates longer run time and increased utilities cost. Air filter is dirty. Humidifier is also in need of a tune up. All options declined at this time.

Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Blower motor wire harness has oil residue on it. Blower motor is showing signs of potential failure. Inducer motor is making excessive noises, sounds that the bearings are failing. System is now 10 years old. May want to start to plan for replacement due to age and condition. Average life span is 10-15 years.

Arrived and outdoor fan was running but compressor was not. Found that compressor wire on motor booster had melted and caused motor booster to fail. His may have been caused by issues within compressor. Customer would like to go ahead with quote on replacement unit. Chris will call today with information on that.

Performed whole home plumbing inspection. Flushed 50 gallon water heater that is 11 years old. I was unable to remove the anode rod as the head was stripped, and the tank opening didn’t allow the socket to fit. Tested water quality. Water softener is from 1995 and producing soft water. Dye tested all three toilet tanks. No leaks. Water pressure is at 82 psi which is more than the 80 psi allowed per code. This is corrected with a pressure reduction valve as we talked about. We would need the items in the basement moved to get a ladder in and look over the ductwork to see what is involved in replacing the front outside faucet. Customer just had two bathrooms remodeled, and is still finishing one with her plumber.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Replaced the drain pan treatment pad to keep the indoor cooling coil drain pan clean. Also showed homeowner how to replace furnace filter and how often she should replace the pad. All other recommendations declined at this time of maintenance.

Returned to replace the flame rollout switch due to the contacts being rusty and falling off, lastly to fix this issue I installed a fresh air drain kit to help any condensate drain instead of going into the furnace and further rusting any more components. No other recommendations at this time.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Found the unit would not activate, tested properly low voltage and did not have the proper voltage. Went through cycle of operation and found a discrepancy. The furnace vent motor and blower motor would activate at the same time and also flash me a 5 flash code on the control board. Checked that code and it said open flame roll out or open fuse. Went through all of my safety switches on the furnace and found the safety switch under the furnace intake was completely rusted through and did not have a proper connection. Jumped out that safety switch and tested operation of the system. Will return to replace part and also add a intake drain kit so this problem doesn’t persist. All other recommendations declined at this time. With the age and condition of this system replacement is highly encourage

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Found the unit did not have locking caps installed, this is a code requirement and should be corrected. Also found he motor booster testing out of range. Once out of range it does not have the full potential to give to both major components inside of the system and is causing the unit to work ten times harder then It should be. All recommendations declined at this time. With age and condition of this system replacement is in the near future.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Found system cooling poorly. System is low on refrigerant. This means system has a refrigerant leak. Refrigerant can be added with sealant, but it is a bandaid fix, no guarantee. Can also not guarantee system will maintain set point with the issues I found. Motor starter and start assist are also showing evidence of failure. Replacement of the AC and furnace is recommended.
