Wes did a wonderful job in handling our needs. Took care of us in a stressful situation
Great service wish they could have come out sooner
Very satisfied with the experience and customer service at Comfort Matters!
Was not able to perform full tune up on both systems due to excessive amount of wasp nests on both units. Homeowner is also very allergic to bees and does not want to disturb nests.
AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels.
E5 code on furnace upon arrival. Fuse was blown. Replaced it and same thing happened again. Looked at low voltage circuit, didn’t find any damaged wires. When I removed wires from both side of motor starter, fuse did not blow. When reattaching wires to motor starter, fuse would blow. Motor starter had failed. Installed new starter and fuse. Unit now mechanically runs. However, unit would need to a tune up to accurately check the rest of operation. Customer said it was recharged with refrigerant last year. Customer said they will leave system off for now until it is replaced. Did provide replacement options for customer. Will follow up next week. Repairs made today covered by WHE.
System at set point upon arrival, turned up heat temperature to test operation. Inducer motor makes a loud screeching noise. The motor no longer works correctly causing excessive noises. Provided estimate for new one. System replacement is recommended for next step due to overall condition. To schedule a system estimate, you can reach me at 763-760-3453.
Found coil dropped. I strapped up the coil and taped the seams and tested for air leaks. Everything seems to be working at this time.
Heat pump was not operating upon arrival. After further diagnostics I found that the system was stuck in a error code and the breaker was tripped. I then proceeded to turn the breaker back on and then I started performing diagnostics on the heat pump. The system would turn on for a brief second and then turn off. I spoke with the manufacture and found that the compressor in this unit is failed and has outlived most other units with this same compressor. I also found that the crankcase heater wires had been chewed through. Overall I do recommend recommend looking into replacing the entire system due to age and the high cost of repairs needed to get up and running. At this time I am unsure if his is the only issue due to the fact that I was unable to get the ac up and running to its full potential.
Replace the 4-way valve solenoid motor on the outdoor unit under warranty. Test operation upon completion. No furthur issues. Unit is performing correctly.
Customer explained a E4 code from ductless unit. Unit worked just fine as far as the heating operation goes. The manufacture had been check a few things in relation to the E4 code. The voltage was correct to solenoid valve. But the resistance for the solenoid valve was not correct. Will need to replace solenoid for reversing valve. Control board thermistor does work correctly. Will follow up tomorrow with options for repair.
Mini split was not operating upon arrival. After further diagnostics with the manufacture I found that the system was still having a temperature sensor error. I reset the system by shutting the power off for 15 minutes and then turned it back on and now everything is up and working. Manufacture said if there are anymore issues with the sensors we will need to replace the main control board.
Mini split was not operating upon arrival. After further diagnostics I found that the indoor thermistor has failed. I confirmed this with the manufacture. Ordered new control board with the thermistor and found out they sent a failed board. I will follow up with the manufacture first thing the morning and come up with a game plan. I will then follow up with Greg.
Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation.
Customer explained how they had no heat. Found thermostat blank upon arrival. Power to thermostat. Thermostat is failed. Bypassed thermostat to check operation, never was able to get power to inducer motor. Control board is failed. Lastly did a safety inspection to diagnose a failed heat exchanger. System is not safe to run. Due to having multiple parts on equipment failed and also considering furnace being 24 years old, replacement is a better option. Spoke with Alyssa at WHE, she did say there would be a rebate if replacement was done. You would have to just send in proof of install/Receipt. Gave homeowner replacement quote. If wanting to move forward with replacement, you can call the office number or reach me directly at 763-760-3453.
Found AC motor booster failed. Replace components tested and verified operation of system with new part. Found several components showing their age. To prevent a breakdown attached is a quote to replace failing components. No one home to collect signatures.
I diagnosed a failed control board on a Bryant furnace
