AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Found system freezing up. This is due to poor airflow from small return ductwork. Unable to accurately gauge where refrigerant charge is at this point due to airflow issue. I recommend replacement of full system to ensure all airflow is correct and Efficient. Customer would like follow up from office to schedule home advisor appointment due to busy schedule.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Replaced 1in filter due to previous one being dirty and restrictive. Recommend using cheaper less restrictive filters to help add life to system by providing healthier airflow. Motor booster on ac is testing below manufacture specifications. This can lead to unit failure. Blower fan is getting dirty and may need to be pulled and cleaned. System operating well at this time.

Arrived and outdoor fan was runnning, but compressor was not. Found capacitor wire for compressor was corroded and burnt off of compressor itself. Checked compresssor windings and found motor to be failed internally. Called on compressor and part is approximately 7-10 days out for order. Quoted customer new AC unit on site. Customer is holding off for now. Left information with customer to follow up if they would like to perform motor replacement or unit replacement.

System not working upon arrival. Thermostat read off. Furnace fan was running though. Also was getting voltage to outdoor motor starter at A/C. Thermostat is failed. This is not working correctly. System was also completely frozen up upon arrival. Including indoor coil, compressor and refrigerant lines. Unable to verify refrigerant charge due to system being frozen. Filter is clean. Generally a system freezes up when low on refrigerant. After fan was running for a while, system started to deice inside. Eventually control board stop sending 120v consistently to fan, and fan would not run. Control board is all wet from water leaking all over it. Control board is also defective. Due to age and condition and cost of repair, replacement is the best option. Also with system being over 20 years old, repair might not go successfully and could potentially find furthur issues trying to repair. Did unplug air exchanger from potentially being recalled for there known motor failures. Will attach a

Performed annual Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Found blower wheel beginning to get dirty. Recommend a cleaning to increase airflow and efficiency of system and to avoid any issues with overheating system. Main flame safety fluctuates with stages of furnace. Starts up in range in high fire, drops below in low fire, then rises again as furnace ramps up. Flame saftey is testing out well at this time.

Repair. Did static check came back .78 total.. with a slight possible oil can from return duct. Seemed to fix the issue with a couple slips. Also noticed a slight whoosh sound when furnace lights off. Tested gas pressure that came back to where it should be. Did here the sight glass and door tag rattle. Fixed this issue with some silicone and phone tape. Mark was hearing the noise of rattle when the furnace was lighting off. Also tested furnace ignition with multiple gas appliances on to see if possible gas problem on ignition. This came back to same result of whoosh noise on ignition. Mark wasn’t to excited about adding a return to the hallway the one spot we could would have been a couple feet from supple. And flex or hard pipe when be right over the top of dryer.

Performed annual Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Discussed filtration of system with customer. Informed the filter currently in system is causing slight restriction on return air side. Unit is still within manufacture specifications, however even less restrictive filter will allow more airflow through system and into home.

Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Flame saftey was failed at arrival. Replaced and tested new part. Furnace ran normally after that. Found that hot surface ignition was far out of manufacture recommended range. Recommended replacement of part, no repair made at this visit. Blower motor is showing signs of failure. Starter is far out of range and motor shaft clicks. This is a sign of Bering failure and replacement of part would be needed to ensure operation, as well as a blower fan cleaning. Due to the age of the system, and cost of potential repairs, replacement is recommended. Chris will meet at 6:00 pm 12-29-2021 to go over replacement options.

Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Flame safety is testing out of range, cleaned it the best I could. Would also recommend a surge protector and vent screen.
