arrived on site to diagnose a upstairs 2017 heat pump. Client stated he had the heat strips in use and his electrical bull is really high due to then being in use. Found condenser heat pump for upstairs has a bad txv valve and would needs to be replaced and filter dryer. Bad valve is causing heat pump to trip on high head pressure and after doing so 10 time condenser locks out and cause heat strip to get used for heating. Advised client labor is out of warranty. Would not recommend running System as it’s just gunna use heat strips for heat. Advised client of find and repairs needed and he start he’d rather get labor done and he would go about getting the refrigerant and recharging his system him self if he dose get repair of replacement of Txv and filter dryer. System is not operational upon departure due to repairs needed. Client did declined work at this time and will call office if he wants to go forward with repairs.
