Performed AC diagnostic on 1996 unit. Upon arrival client stated that system was working about 15 minutes ago and he almost canceled and then it stopped working again luckily I was in front. They’ve never done any repairs or had any issues in the past with the system. Upon arrival I found the condenser fan motor was not spinning but the compressor was on on. Duel secondary motor control was good indicating that the fan motor was defective. Ultimately client would like to do the fan motor repair and sign up on a maintenance plan to keep their system at a stand. Informed them that anything done to the system is considered a Band-Aid due to it being past its design life at this time. Install condenser fan motor and cleaned condenser coil at this time. System is operational in cooling with a 21° split.
