Performed furnace maintenance on 2012 payne Heater. Upon my maintenance I came across a few points and concerns that need to be addressed with the homeowner. Furnace- 1. Found that flame sensor is heavily oxidizing corroded. If left in this condition can lead to failure on ignition due to the inability of the sensor being able to detect flames coming off of the burners 2. System contained no surge protection in the case of a power outage thunderstorm etc. Search protection is added into increase the longevity of all the components in the system most importantly the circuit board which is the brains of the system. 3. Indoor blower motor is Oxidized as well although still operating properly 4. Inducer draft motor is creating a loud screeching noise when running this may also be due to oxidization on the bearing salt water in the air is one of the worst enemies for a motor and can cause an array of problems. 5.
