Upon arrival performed AC tuneup on two 17 year old Lennox units. Checked static pressure and found to be high on both units. Temperature split was good on downstairs unit at 18 degrees, upstairs unit was only 15 degrees. Secondary motor control on both units were low and out of limits. Noticed condensate drain lines did not have safety switches installed nor service tee’s. Both blower motors are drawing high amps, both are getting close to the manufacturer’s limits. Cleaned condenser coil fins and external units. Found downstairs unit to have significant amount of corrosion on coil fins. Upstairs unit showed signs of corrosion as well. Dual secondary motor controls on both units were out of limits. Start contactors were both showing signs of pitting and burning. On start, compressors are drawing a lot of amps - down stairs was 55, upstairs was 109. RLA on both compressors were high, getting close to upper limits.
