Performed diagnostic on 2000 Rheem system. Homeowner states that he noticed refrigerant lines on outdoor unit were icing up. Also noticed that the fan command setting on the thermostat was not turning on the fan. Cycled system for cooling. Outdoor unit is kicking on normally. Indoor unit is unresponsive. Checked indoor unit electrical and system components. Circuit board is recieving proper command and is outputting command as well. Found a bad secondary motor control that was not allowing the indoor fan motor to kick on. Fan motor is leaking oil and was very hot to the touch. With homeowner approval went ahead and replaced secondary motor control. Cycled system on and fan motor came on. Fan motor is still operational but is pulling in high amperage. Performed full evaluation of system. Refrigerant levels are within range and system is producing proper temperature split. Primary motor control on outdoor condenser is burnt and pitted on contact points. Compressor amp draws are high and
