Performed AC maintenance on system. This was originally scheduled as a combo tune up, but once I advised homeowner that we would have to run the heater to do a furnace maintenance, she decided to do only AC maintenance today. Homeowner did mention that she does have home warranty to cover the system as she just bought the home 3 weeks ago. Cycled system for cooling. System is from 1995. Checked indoor and outdoor unit electrical and system components. Replaced 1 inch filter. System Is producing proper temperature split and Is cooling as it should. Outdoor compressor and condenser fan motor are pulling in high amps, making unit inefficient. Primary motor control is in good condition, secondary motor control is within range. Compressor is starting up fairly hard. Pulled off condenser fan motor and thoroughly washed out condenser coil inside and out. Cycled system . Went over findings and recommendations with homeowner. Due to her medical condition, she needs the ac to be working at all
