Arrived on site to diagnose a no heating unit. Client is a elderly client with no heat and spoke to caretaker and he stated unit has been acting up since last year. The care take dodo what he could to get unit running then and then did it mess with it until now since it’s cold. He stated unit would shut off and then not even fire up. Upon arrival found unit already opened up as they had someone they knew to come look at it. Called us out since they couldn’t fix it. Cycled heater and found unit not completing the sequence of operation and would shut down. Advised with how unit is acting up told client I think it’s a bad board but wanted to verify to him it is bad indeed. Found no power going to gas valve. Traced back to the molex plug harness and still found no power. By passed the board and gave 24v directly to the gas valve and valve was operational and pushing gas out. Advised client found bird bad as this time I cycle once igniter turned on jumped power to gas valve and the fl
