Arrived on site to diagnose a no cooling system. Condenser located in back yard. Furnace evaporator coil located in attic. Client stated daughter was home heard loud bang in attic and then condenser suddenly starting working harder and making louder noises the. Usually would. Advised client I’d be inspecting both units. Had client cycled cooling mode. Advised the summary of findings are as followed. Condenser 1. 2006 unit original to home. 2. Fans motor has been leaking oil done shaft of motor. 3. Primary starter showed dark tone discoloration. 4. Secondary motor control is good at this time. 5. Unable to get proper amp drawls reading due to system no working properly. 6. Found lines set icing up after running for couple minute. 7. Unable to check refrigerant pressure due to line sets icing up. 8. R-22 refrigerant used. 9. Disconnect itself has slot of play and is a safety concern to home as it could create a shortage or keep tripping breaker switches Furnace 1. 2006 furnace
