Performed diagnostic on 2003 system. Homeowner states that his upstairs system is not cooling. Outdoor fan is not spinning. Said this also happened last week but he just turned his breaker off and back on and it started working but this time it doesn’t turn back on. Cycled system for cooling. Indoor unit kicks on and is blowing room temperature air. Outdoor unit is unresponsive. Checked outdoor unit electrical and system components. System is recieving proper high voltage power as well as low voltage command, but still not kicking on. Found a bad secondary motor control that was not allowing system to kick on. Replaced secondary motor control. System kicked on and started cooling. Performed full evaluation of system. Amp draws on compressor and condenser fan motor are high, but still within range. Primary motor control is completely burnt up at both contact points. Refrigerant levels are within range and system is producing proper temperature split. System is older and inefficient, a
