Performed diagnostic on 2001 Payne system. Jordan was out here earlier this afternoon for estimate but homeowner is not interested in replacing system and only wanted a diagnostic. Per homeowner, Upstairs system comes on here and there. when it comes on it works perfectly, and when it doesn’t work he noticed that the condenser fan motor is not spinning. Homeowner cycled system for cooling. Indoor and outdoor System came on normally and started cooling. Checked outdoor unit electrical and system components to try and find why system is only working intermittently. System is recieving proper high voltage power as well as low voltage command.. system has 2 separate secondary motor controls for fan motor and for compressor. Compressor secondary motor control is still in range. Fan motor secondary motor control is extremely low and almost completely dead. This is why fan motor is only kicking on sometimes. Replaced secondary motor control for condenser fan motor. Cycled system on and off
