Arrived on site to perform spring tune up on a 1 year old unit. Condenser in back yard. Client stated unit is good as it’s brand new. Cycled cooling and is good. Condenser in back yard. Washed condenser coil inside and out. Primary starter is good. Secondary motor control good on both sides. Fan motor is new and free of oil. Checked start up amps on compressor. Start up are good and in range. Run amps are good as well. Checked pressure and unit is holding a good charge and cooling home. Found unit to no have protection and recommended adding protection to protect unit from electrical surges and power outages that can damage or even short out systems and components. Cycled unit and went over how unit is running and conditions and he is aware. Cycled unit and is operational upon departure.
