Arrived on site to perform diagnostic on 2002 York unit. Upon arrival Pat stated that just yesterday around 3 o’clock the indoor blower motor randomly turned on and will not shut off. Proceeded to indoor unit and found that blower motor was running continuously. Disabled power to unit and blower shut off although when calling for cooling blower motor did not turn back on and condenser was running by itself. Relay has become defective on circuit board and will need to be replaced completely. This may have been due to a power outage or due to old age. Also found that indoor blower motor had significant oil leakage and debris buildup. The indoor blower motor is responsible for moving air around the house in cooling and heating mode. Discussed full diagnostic with Pat and he chose for a mid range repair to be done and would also like to sign up on maintenance plan to keep both units in a standard.
